February 29, we have missed you... welcome back, a lot has happened since we last saw you! What a beautiful day it is here in sunny AZ!
Something that happens once every four years, (and even then, not if the year is divisible by 100... unless it's also divisible by 400) is cause for celebration... as are birthdays, I believe... which is what we are doing all weekend! Happiness all around!
Enjoy "Leap Day", we sure are!
Happy Leap Day Friday!

Almost There!
After four days of recovery, I am feeling almost like my "old self"! This is such a huge answer to prayers, as I have really been miserable for quite some time (several months). I was feeling so lazy because I didn't have the energy to do anything that I needed or wanted to do. It was miserable and I am so blessed that I am feeling better!
Nick has been awesome during all of this! Who thought he wouldn't though, right!? Even beyond taking care of me, the kids and the house while I was lying on the couch requesting refills, pills, help up, the remote, etc. These last few months, when I wasn't feeling quite myself, he never once complained or hinted that he thought I needed to be doing more. He always said "What can I do to help you?", and he really meant it! I am blessed to have such a loving husband and I am so thankful for him!
My dad spent the day with us today and I feel that I'm ready to conquer tomorrow one on one with Ethan... we'll see, I may call in reinforcements... make sure you check caller id before you answer your phone!
We have a big weekend to get ready for... four birthday parties, two of which are for Emily. Friday we are having about 15 6-7 year old girls over for "glamour" night, then we're having a small grandparent lunch on Sunday. Throw in two birthday parties for friends on Saturday and you've got the typical Kahler weekend!
Check back again next week to see if I've re-surfaced!
Thanks again for being such a huge support to me!
Happy Tuesday!

Doing well
Thank you to everybody for the emails, calls, visits, meals and flowers! We have wonderful family and friends!
I'm feeling a bit better today. I'm still very sore and tired, but I can tell a difference in my body! I haven't had any nausea or pain when eating and I feel better overall!
The doctor told Nick that my gallbladder was "nasty" and that it definitely needed to come out! It was a relief to hear! Can you imagine... it was perfect, nothing wrong with it... must've been in her head!?
I'm going to keep it short but wanted to update.
Thanks for your prayers and kindness.
Happy Saturday!

Happy Valentine's Day!
I love Valentine's Day! Not because of gifts and chocolate (although that's pretty nice too!), but because the kids love it!
I just returned from Em's class party and they had a blast! We had two chocolate fountains and lots of great stuff for them to dip in it... yum! The part I liked best... watching the excitement on the kiddos faces as they opened their Valentine bags. They were thrilled with everything they got and would run from person to person in class thanking them for the "gift". It was great!
Ethan's not feeling so hot. Double ear infections, again. He's got two rounds of antibiotics back to back because the infection is so bad. I hate when my little ones don't feel well and you can definitely tell that he doesn't. He's been falling asleep lying on the couch in the morning and waking up a lot in the night, just not being able to be completely comfortable. We're all looking forward to him feeling better!
Surgery update: I'm having my gallbladder removed next Thursday morning. I'm looking forward to feeling much better after and having relief from the pain and nausea! Thanks for all of your sweet calls, emails, thoughts and prayers! We have great friends!
I'm off to cuddle the little guy! Enjoy your Valentine's Day!
A Happy Birthday to Brad and Kaden!!
Happy Thursday!

Finally...
I am part of the blog world! I visit so many great blogs from time to time for various purposes... updates on family and friends, scrapbooking ideas and inspiration, recipes, etc. Now I have my own!!!
I'm sure this will be a compilation of random things that I find interest in, things I would like to share, and bits of information on what is happening in our life.
For whatever reason you stop by, I'm glad you came... feel free to leave a note in the comments!
Happy Monday!
